Terms of Use

The terms and conditions for using this website and requesting fit to fly certificates and travel medical letters online.

These terms govern your use of FitToFlyCertificate.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Who we are

The site is operated by Nobel Medical LLC, trading as Medical Cert UK, a company established in Delaware, United States, with a registered office at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, USA. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZC112101. The service is offered to people in the United Kingdom.

You can reach us at [email protected], on +44 131 270 3762 for pre-purchase queries, or on +44 161 391 0155 about a consultation already in review.

What the service is

We provide an online route to a Fit to Fly Certificate. You complete a health questionnaire, a doctor registered with the General Medical Council reviews it, and a certificate is issued where the clinical information supports doing so. The assessment is a review of the information you provide. It is not a physical examination, and it does not include tests such as an electrocardiogram, spirometry or urine analysis.

Some events require in-person testing and cannot be served by an online review. Italian competitive events certified under Ministerial Decree 18/02/1982 are the clearest example.

Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate, complete and current information. A certificate issued on the basis of inaccurate information may be invalid.
  • Check what your event actually requires, including wording, format and deadlines, before applying.
  • Do not use the site to obtain documentation for anyone else without their knowledge, or for any unlawful purpose.
  • You must be 18 or over to apply. A request for someone under 18 must be made by a parent or legal guardian.

Clinical discretion and refunds

The reviewing doctor may decline to issue a certificate, may ask for more information, or may recommend an in-person assessment. That is a clinical judgement and it is final. Where a certificate cannot be issued on clinical grounds, you receive a full refund of the certificate fee.

Where a certificate has been issued but is later declined by an event organiser, we do not refund the fee, because acceptance is a matter for the organiser and not for us. This does not affect your cancellation rights below or your statutory rights.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Your right to cancel

Because you buy this service online without meeting us, it is a distance contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. You normally have 14 days from entering the contract to cancel and receive a refund.

This service is usually delivered well inside that period. When you ask us to begin the assessment straight away, you are giving express consent for performance to start during the cancellation period, and you acknowledge that:

  • once the assessment has been fully performed, that is once the reviewing doctor has assessed your submission and issued a decision, you lose the right to cancel; and
  • if you cancel after performance has begun but before it is complete, we may charge a proportionate amount for what has already been done.

To cancel, email [email protected] with your name and order details. You may use the model cancellation form in the Regulations, but you do not have to. Refunds are made using the same payment method within 14 days of us accepting the cancellation.

This right is separate from, and in addition to, the refund we give where a certificate cannot be issued on clinical grounds.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] with the details. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and to resolve them within 30 days. Complaints about a clinician's conduct may also be raised with the General Medical Council, and complaints about how we handled your data may be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office.

No guarantee of acceptance

We do not warrant that a certificate will be accepted by any event organiser, club, federation, insurer or institution. Requirements vary by country, by federation and between editions of the same event.

Not an emergency service

This site does not provide urgent or emergency care. If you have a medical emergency, contact 999 or your local emergency services.

Intellectual property

The content, layout and design of this site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may read and print pages for your own use. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy the content without our written permission. Requests and complaints about copyright are handled through our copyright and takedown policy.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from an event organiser refusing documentation, from a missed upload deadline, or from reliance on general information published on this site rather than on your organiser's own requirements.

Privacy

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy and our cookie policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version in force is the one published when you use the site.
